About
It’s my curiosity and need for expression that cause me to create. Images are often arenas for my own contemplation of a thought or an emotional out-pouring. My angst, when present, is balanced by an unstoppable optimism and unending curiosity. I don’t care for “social labels”, but the majority of my work likely falls into the category of Conceptual Art.
I’ve had a life long passion for all of the arts, but painting has always been my favorite form. During my childhood I’d won many awards for creative concepts and skill of execution, both inside the public school system and within private competition. Over the years, I’ve developed more of an interest in creation rather than competition and find reward enough in having another person decide to co-exist with one of my images. As a matter of fact, I began to sell paintings and drawings for others to enjoy as early as the age of nine years. My earliest influences stemmed from the modern movements that dominated the 1970’s and 80’s, so today I continue to explore modern art media through digital paintings and photomanipulation art in addition to more traditional brush painting.
